I've never had a single problem my KMG grinder. It is built like a tank and will last forever. It did seem that Beaumont Metal Works stopped innovating and didn't care to increase production to support demand for attachments and specialty wheels about 5+ years ago. It's good to see new products by them. My next purchase will be a surface grinder.

I think Beaumont Metal has a good selection with the KMG, this set-up produces 3 ideal belt speeds of approx: 900, 1800, and 3600 ft/min. for most folks, especially hobby knife makers. That is for a step pulley/belt setup. As an occasional hobby maker I've come to really like a VFD drive with 300 SFPM to 4,000 SFPM belt speeds.
